Anyway, moving on, here are some offshore places and ideas for you!

Puaka Hill at Pulau Ubin

The highest hill on Pulau Ubin, Puaka Hill overlooks the Ubin Granite Quarry with extremely scenic views. It is actually a relatively short hike of only 15 to 25 minutes to reach the peak, however, it is relatively steep, so make sure to wear proper footwear when you and your significant other or person you are wooing are hiking!

What most people do is both cycling around Pulau Ubin as well as hiking the Puaka Hill on the same day, and then enjoy a nice and cheap meal on the island itself for dinner before returning back to mainland Singapore! If you and your partner likes such activities, make sure to give this a try!

Coney Island Cycling

While Coney Island is significantly smaller than that of Pulau Ubin, it is still definitely worthy of your time as one of the offshore places that you can go to. Do not underestimate the length of the island, especially if you are there on a date. Make sure to rent a bicycle instead at Punggol Settlement area before heading towards the island. There are absolutely no toilets nor water cooler stands on it, so renting a bicycle is strongly recommended so that you can get out fast in case of a toilet emergency or your partner may not have a good impression of you!

What some couples like to do is to actually head to Punggol Settlement, which is near the West entrance and exit of Coney Island, for a dinner after a day spent at the island. Keep in mind that the island is undeveloped, and it is not recommended to set up a picnic there at the beach for even a quick grab, and you are only recommended to cycle and take pictures with the scenic nature backgrounds and unique trees as the beach can be full of sandflies. Yikes!

Also make sure to bring a mosquito repellent with you when you go to these places!
